🌱 LEARNING THROUGH SENSORY PLAY

Potion play is a fantastic way to support learning without children even realising they're learning!

🖐️ Fine motor skills through scooping, stirring and pouring
🧠 Problem-solving as children experiment with different combinations
🔬 Early science through observing changes and reactions
🔢 Early maths through counting, measuring and comparing
🗣️ Language development through describing ingredients and creating stories
🎭 Imaginative play as children become witches, wizards, scientists or magical potion makers!

💚 OPEN-ENDED PLAY AT ITS BEST

There doesn't need to be a recipe or a perfect finished potion.

The magic is in the process. ✨

Give children the ingredients, some containers and a little space to explore — then step back and see where their imagination takes them.

💭 “I wonder what will happen if…?”

That simple question can lead to curiosity, investigation, problem-solving and some wonderfully messy sensory play!
